Lonny Evans
Keep Your Stick on the Ice and a Smile on Your Face
This Talk, led by Lonny Evans, Volunteer Manager at The Food Group and co-founder of MN Wild Blind Hockey, aims to provide a source of encouragement and inspiration. Lonny will share impactful stories drawn from experiences on the hockey rink and beyond. The learning objectives of the Talk include emphasizing the value of prioritizing people over material possessions, highlighting the significance of being people-centered, conveying the message that everyone has the power to make a positive difference, recognizing the motivational forces of love and fear, and encouraging the audience to strive for perspectives that go above and beyond current situations. The overarching theme revolves around the transformative power of personal connections, making a positive impact, and embracing a broader perspective on life.

Speaker Bio:Lonny Evans spent most of his career as a teacher and administrator and now works for Sean Hurdle as part of the volunteer team at The Food Group. Partnering with those who are often overlooked, dismissed, or marginalized is both personal and professional for him. He sometimes refers to his job as that of CEOO Connector and Encourager of Others and Opportunities. Lonny and his wife, Betsy, have three adult children and a Chocolate Lab named Addie. Betsy, Addie and Lonny reside in Plymouth. In 2018, Lonny helped start the MN Wild Blind program from scratch. Today, MWBH is the largest blind hockey program in the country.
