Estate Planning: A Lifelong Journey

Attorney Kate Smith-Thompson takes you on a lifelong journey - estate planning. Understand what it is, why everyone needs it, and why doing your estate planning isn't signing a permission slip to die. Learn about the various legal pathways to estate planning, inheritance, probate (and probate avoidance) and what you can and can't say and do in your will or trust.

Speaker Bio:
Kate Smith-Thompson is the founder of KST Law, PLLC and is admitted to the Minnesota Bar. She received her JD from Hamline University School of Law and her BA from Texas Woman's University. Focusing exclusively on estate planning and probate, Kate strives to be affordable, approachable, and relatable. She believes that estate planning is a lifelong journey and practices law for everyday people. She lives in the Twin Cities Metro area with her family.
