About Me

Most business owners don’t start their company because they love numbers. They start it because they’re great at what they do, but somewhere along the way, the financial side becomes a constant source of stress.

I’m Mike Wagner, CPA and Founder of Wagner CPA Solutions, where I help small and mid-sized businesses turn financial uncertainty into confidence and control. As an Outsourced CFO and Accounting Partner, I work alongside owners in construction, trades, manufacturing, and service industries to create clarity, strategy, and confidence in every financial decision.

Over the years, I’ve learned that most business owners don’t need another accountant who only talks about debits and credits and focuses on the past. They need a partner who helps them connect their financial results to their long-term goals. Someone who can translate the numbers into a clear plan for growth, sustainability, and peace of mind.

That’s where I come in.

My approach is simple: connect your numbers to your goals. I focus on helping leaders understand their numbers, strengthen cash flow, improve profitability, and make smarter decisions that align with both their business and personal vision. Because at the end of the day, the numbers should work for you, not the other way around. Whether it’s improving cash flow, forecasting growth, or building better reporting tools, my role is to make sure you understand what’s happening behind the numbers and how to use that insight to move forward.

Before starting my own firm, I built my foundation working in all aspects of accounting, public, private, governmental, and academia. Where I learned the power of structure, accountability, and strategic planning

These experiences shaped how I communicate complex financial concepts in a way that’s easy to understand and immediately actionable. Today, that same teaching mindset drives how I work with clients: no jargon or judgment, just honest guidance and collaboration.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially outdoors, and putting into practice the same principles that I preach: that your business should work for you to create the life you want, rather than the other way around. Building a business that allows me the time to provide for and spend time with my family and friends is a great privilege and blessing. I want to be able to provide that same opportunity to as many business owners as possible.

My goal is simple: help good people make great financial decisions and build businesses that are strong, sustainable, and aligned with what matters most to them.
